Levels of Care

Varying degrees of care, which are based on a resident’s health status. Typical levels of care include independent living units, assisted living units, nursing care units, and special care units. The levels of care may be dictated by state licensure. A transfer to a different level of care need not involve a transfer to a different type of living unit.
